Using dumbbells to target your shoulder and back muscles, the Iron Cross is this month's fitness challenge.
You stand during this exercise, but you do not move your legs; the only movement occurs at the shoulder joint. Hold the dumbbells in front of your thighs with your palms facing you. Keep your arms straight, and lift the dumbbells up and out to the sides until your arms are parallel to the floor with your palms facing forward. Your body is in the shape of a cross, or "T", at this point."
How long can you hold the Iron Cross?
- 2 X 2KG Dumbbells for women
- 2 X 3KG Dumbbells for men
- Arms must be straight and above or level with the shoulders
- Challenge finishes when arms drop below shoulder height
With a dedicated weights floor of over 4,000sqft & over 180 pieces of top of the range Technogym there is something for everyone and plenty of room to practice for your Iron Cross challenge.
